ABOUT US

The Maple Road Market is a volunteer led independent local market that was originally started in 1921. The original concept of the market was to aid those coming back from the War with a place to work and to buy produce for their families during a time of social hardship and great sacrifice after the First World War.

The Maple Road Market was then a notable hub of social commerce all the way up to the beginning of 2010 when sadly, with the increase in supermarket popularity, the market slowly become redundant.

Now, with the aid of hard work from the local community and funding from the Bromley Council, the market is back up and running and with the same idea of having a large variety of sellers ranging from art & craft to kids activities and delicious hot food to health and wellbeing.

The Maple Road Market is held on the last Saturday of each month. Please follow the social media for summer and winter locations!
